Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple Cider Vinegar is a great home remedy for sunburn and provides relief from the burning and stinging associated with sunburn. It can also relieve that hot feeling you get when you are sunburned. Apple Cider Vinegar will also help keep you from peeling. Apply to sunburned skin with a soft cloth or cotton balls as often as needed. Make sure skin is unbroken.
Green Tea

Brew some green tea and chill it. Apply the tea with a soft cloth every few hours as needed. You can also place the cooled tea bags directly onto the sunburn. Green tea is a great natural home remedy for soothing sunburn. Regular tea can be used as well.
Plain Yogurt or Sour Cream
Plain Yogurt and Sour Cream are wonderful for taking the heat out of a sunburn. Gently apply to the sunburn and leave for 20 minutes then rinse with water.
Aloe Vera
You can use the natural gel from an Aloe Vera plant or Aloe Vera juice from the health food store as an effective natural remedy for sunburn. Aloe Vera relieves pain from sunburn and helps to moiturize the skin aiding in the healing process. Cut open a piece of an Aloe Vera plant and apply the gel to the affected area. The juice can be applied by gently using a cotton ball. Apply as often as needed for an excellant natural home remedy for sunburn.
Vitamin E Capsule or Cream

Poke a hole in a Vitamin E capsule and apply directly to your sunburn, or you can use Vitamin E cream. Either will provide pain relief. Vitamin E also lubricates the skin helping to prevent blistering and peeling. You can also take 500iu of Vitamin E daily to progress healing and help stop scarring.

In a small bowl of water add 5 drops of Chamomile Oil. Mix and apply to unbroken skin for soothing sunburn relief.

If there are large areas that are sunburned try soaking in a lukewarm bath after you have added one of the following: 1 to 2 cups Apple Cider Vinegar, 1 cup of Baking Soda, a sprinkling of Colloidal Oatmeal, a package of Nonfat Dry Milk or 1 quart low fat milk. Soak for half an hour. These are wonderful natural home remedies for sunburn pain. Then apply one of the other topical remedies for added relief and healing.

Mix 20 drops of calendula oil with four oz. of water and apply to the skin using a washcloth or cotton balls. You can also get calendula in the form of gels and soothing salves. Calendula is antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory; it will help soften the skin and ease the pain.
