To Do With Glass Jars

-If a neighbor or friend is sick, fill up jars with soup and give as a get well soon gift. Make layered cookie mix or soup mix and place in the reused jars and give as gifts! Make bath salts and put the in jars to give as gifts.
-Glue twigs around the sides of the jar, tie with ribbon, and fill with wild flowers for a pretty flower arrangement! Paint the jars with a transparent paint and place a candle inside. They make great hurricane candle holders.
-Gather the glass jars you will be using to make them out of gifts. You can buy jelly jars from the store or recycle a glass jar, such as a peanut butter jar, jelly jar or pickle jar. Wash these jars out throughly, and make sure they are free from past smells and food.
-Decide on what type of gift you want to create with the jars. To make gourmet soup jars, fix the jar with all the dry ingredients layer by layer. Try to add each ingredient, as it would be added in the cooking pan. Fill the jars with beans, lentils, spices, seasonings, herbs or whatever the recipe calls for.
-Create a colorful design with the ingredients by alternating colors and food groups. Create a flavorful cake mix or cookie dough jar by adding the dry ingredients the same way. Although, this time, you are adding ingredients such as sugar, flour, baking powder and salt.
-Create gift jars with tea and drink mixes, spices and seasonings, herbed vinegar oil or olive oil jars, pancake mixes, dog or cat treats. Or put together nature jars with leaves, sand, berries, seashells, rocks, flowers or other nature items. Mix bath concoctions or potpourri gift jars.
-Make themes out of the jars, and make special birthday gifts with the person's favorite items inside the gift jar. Design your own label on the computer and put on the front of the jar. Another nice touch is to add a fabric covering on top of the jar, and let it overlap so that you can wrap a ribbon of bow around it.
